Eating random stuff

Today, Mittens ate a platic bag.

I kideth ye not.

I keep a Ziplock (TM) bag full of oatmeal next to his cage, and today he pulled it in, chewed it up, and gobbled all the oatmeal inside. He seems to be all right, but I'll be on the lookout for the next couple of days to see whether it harmed his plumbing or no.

Way to eat random stuff, critter.

Another boring day

Today, I had a really boring day.

Mom fed me some tasty treats, then refilled my food dish.

Do you have food for me?

I like food!

Mmm... water....

What's this?

Maybe tomarrow my day will be more interesting.

Mom gets a new toy

Every morning, I chew on the bars of my cage to ask Mom to play with me. She says no, she has to do school. What is school? Is it a toy? Did Mom get a new toy?

Sleepy Day

Today I slept all day. I dreamed about a sandwich on Italian bread with cheese... and oatmeal... and raisins... mmm... raisins...

A fun day

Today, I had a fun day.

First Mom gave me some cheese.

My favorite cheese is shredded mozerella.

And then she let me run around in my ball.

Whee!

Did I tell you I love running in my ball?

Mom told me I should make resolutions for 2007.

I resolved to eat more cheese, to run on my wheel more, and to drink more water.

About Me

Like I said, I am a short haired white hamster, and my name is Mittens. Mom got me at Petsmart on October 18, 2005.

This is where I live. It's a nice home, even if it is a bit small.
I like to sleep on top. I build a cozy nest. Mom gives me aspen shavings, paper towels, and in the winter, fluff so I don't get cold.

This is me climbing up to my nest.

Here I am, downstairs in my cage, putting food in my cheeks to take to my nest.

I like to store food up there. It's very convenient, if I'm sleeping and I'm hungry, to eat some food and then go back to sleep.
